Everyone knows a bass or a pickerel has a hard time ignoring a properly presented frog pattern, but panfish? You can make the argument that most adult frogs are too big of a prey item to be eaten by most panfish. However, there are smaller species of frogs whose habitats mix with that of panfish.

The Micro Frog - Irresistible to big bluegills!

I fish a lot of tiny frog patterns for panfish. We have a few minuscule aquatic frogs in my neck of the woods that range in size from 1/2 inch to 2 1/2 inches long. I am sure that these smaller sized frogs find their way into a big bluegill's stomach on occasion.
