Six (6) size ten Soggy Bee Soft Hackles. This fly is a bee-themed (black and yellow) soft hackle. Black and yellow are classic warm-water color schemes that date back over a hundred years. Many early warm-water fly patterns used this color combination, and it is as deadly today as it was back then.

These flies are tied on a size 10 heavy wire, wet fly hook with a back and yellow grizzly marabou tail, a black and yellow dubbed rabbit fur body that is ribbed with gold French tinsel. A yellow aftershaft feather is used for a thorax and topped with a black hen soft hackle collar.
