Winter 2017/2018 Edition Of The Tenkara Angler

January 4, 2018 Panfish On The Fly
TA Cover Winter 2017-18.jpg

Although I don't write much about it here, I am an avid tenkara fisherman for both cold and warm water fish (I have even dabbled in salt water with tenkara).  In the latest edition of Tenkara Angler, I wrote about a variation of one of my favorite warm water patterns the James Wood Bucktail.   If you are a warm water tenkara angler this is definitely a fly pattern to add to your arsenal.  I have even caught a few trout on the fly during Sulfur and PMD mayfly hatches.  The article will give you some background on the fly as well as complete tying instructions.

Tenkara Angler is a free e-magazine that is available for viewing online.  If you fish tenkara or are interested in learning more about this exciting way to fly fish I highly recommend this publication.  You can check out this edition by clicking on the link below.
